We
are two of five sisters who share a life-long passion for making
things. This site is primarily dedicated to showcasing our extensive library of toy designs, and our goal is to offer unique patterns and instructions for others who share our passion for soft toy construction and other crafty pursuits.
Our design philosophy can be expressed in two basic principles:
simplicity in construction and professional quality in the finished
product. You'll find our patterns and instructions clear and easy to
follow, and with a bit of care, you can produce
very professional looking finished toys and crafted items.
As kids growing up in Nova Scotia, we started crafting early with simple materials, eventually expanding our repertoire to include fibre and needle arts, paper arts, beading, upholstery, painting, drawing, clothing design and construction, clay modeling, basic woodcraft, and more. We began designing our own toy patterns back when we were still teenagers, and have now been creating soft toys and other designs for a combined total of more than 60 years. Although we built this site mainly to share our original soft toy patterns, we plan eventually to feature patterns and instructions in other craft media as well. As you browse the site, you'll also find a selection of handmade gifts on the "Handcrafted Items for Sale" page, where we will feature not only our own work but also items created by our other talented and crafty sisters. |
